This is a list of frequently asked questions and answers for the proposed community. The information provided will be updated regularly to provide you with the most current information.

Who is Plum Living?
Plum Living Properties & Health Services Inc. (PLP) is a Vancouver-based company that provides home health care services specifically intended for LGBTQ, our friends, and families.

Where will the community b located?
Through initial survey results from the Community Questionnaire, we are focusing on identifying an urban Vancouver location with access to transit and lifestyle options that are of interest to community members.  As we narrow down the options, we will keep you informed. If you would like to tell us what you want, please complete the Community Questionnaire.
 

What is the timeline for development of the community?
It is anticipated that this project will take several years from conception to move-in. Right now, we are accepting refundable $1,000 community participation deposits.  We won't be doing a "build it and they will come". Through engagement with community depositors we will determine what we want, where, and when.

How have the economic challenges of 2009/2010 impacted plans for this community?
This community continues to be in the planning stages.  We continue to receive deposits and timelines suggested still appeal to our depositor group. 

How can I get involved in this project?
Make a fully refundable Community Member Deposit showing good faith and interest or attend a local meeting. Please spread the word! Tell your friends and encourage them to participate.

What types of residences are planned?
The community is may include independent living owner-occupied condominiums, and independent or assisted living rental apartments, with enhanced living services, amenities, services, and care options. Please note that in the course of development, design, types of residences available, and amenities offered may change.

The community will be designed based on input from the community survey, meetings, and community member depositors. Join us to help plan the project! 

What is the estimated price range?
Many factors are taken into consideration and will determine actual prices, such as land, construction costs, etc. A price range will be forthcoming at a later date based on such factors and fair market value. 

When will floor plans be available?
The architectural design and floor plans will be created once our location is established.

Is there an age requirement?
The current concept is that there will be no age restriction to live in this community. The services and amenities planned for this type of community are likely to appeal a Second Fifty Years lifestyle.

How large will the community be?
Currently, the project vision may include 125 residences, depending on the site, zoning requirements and business plan. Consideration and planning for additional assisted living suites is also underway.
