Who is RainbowVision Properties? RainbowVision Properties Inc. (RVP), headquartered in Santa Fe New Mexico is committed to creating and developing unique communities of diversity. Those coming in to the Third Age have experienced a range of interests and lifestyles that should be carried forward in to their decisions about where to live, what services are offered and the level of care needed. RainbowVision Properties offers development, marketing, and management for retirement and assisted living communities. Who is Plum Living? Plum Living Properties & Health Services Inc. (PLP) is a Vancouver-based company that provides home health care services specifically intended for LGBTQ, our friends, and families. PLP has partnered with RVP for the development of RVV. Through initial survey results from the Community Questionnaire and ongoing discussion with our community participants, we are focusing on identifying an urban Vancouver location with access to transit and lifestyle options that are of interest to community members. Currently there is strong interest in the communities of Mount Pleasant and the West End.As we further narrow down these options we will update the information available. What is the timeline for development of the community? It is anticipated that this project will take several years from conception to move-in. Right now, we are encouraging refundable $1,000 community member deposits. Community member deposits are essential for the development of the community. Your deposit tells RainbowVision Vancouver that you want this community to be developed. We won't be doing a "build it and they will come". Through engagement with community depositors we will determine what we want, where, and when. Community Member Deposits are held in designated term deposit accounts with Vancity Savings Credit Union, a renowned LGBT community supporter. The deposit is Yours and as such is fully refundable at any time, or at the community member's request, will be credited against additional commitments or towards the purchase of a specific condominium or rental suite in this community. How have the economic challenges of 2009/2010 impacted plans for this community? This community continues to be in the planning stages. The economic uncertainty over the past two years has caused many people to reflect on their priorities and be and be cautious in their decision making. This reflection does not stop our plans for the community but it has slowed some of the timelines.We continue to receive community member deposits and the timelines suggested still appeal to our depositor group. How can I get involved in this project? Make a fully refundable Community Member Deposit showing good faith and interest or attend a local meeting. Please spread the word! Tell your friends and encourage them to participate. What types of suites are planned? The community may include independent living owner-occupied condominiums, and independent or assisted living rental apartments, with enhanced living services, amenities, services, and care options. Please note that in the course of development, design, types of residences available, and amenities offered may change. The community will be designed based on input from the community survey, meetings, and community member depositors. Join us to help plan the project! What is the estimated price range? Many factors are taken into consideration and will determine actual prices, such as land, construction costs, etc. A price range will be forthcoming at a later date based on such factors and fair market value. When will floor plans be available? The architectural design and floor plans will be created once our location is established. Is there an age requirement? The current concept is that there will be no age restriction to live in this community. The services and amenities planned for this type of community are likely to appeal a Second Fifty Years lifestyle. How large will the community be? Currently, the project vision includes 125 residences, depending on the site, zoning requirements and business plan. Consideration and planning for additional assisted living suites is also underway.
